Fascial Release Workshop- Mendocino

Mendocino CA
The fascia is a densely woven fabric of connective tissue within our bodies that holds us together. It wraps around every muscle, tendon, ligament, bone and organ. When the fascia becomes tight it can inhibit movement and cause pain.

In this practical workshop you will learn about fascia, the role it plays within the body and a variety of fascia release techniques. We will use tennis balls and other props to work into all of your tight spots, releasing the fascia and getting you moving freely again.

Janu Basti- Ayurvedic Knee Clinic

Janu Basti- Ayurvedic Knee Clinic

Janu Basti is a traditional Ayurvedic treatment in which a dam of black gram dough is constructed around the knee joint and filled with warm, medicated oil. The oil is held in place for an extended period, allowing deep penetration into the joint tissues — nourishing cartilage, lubricating the joint space, and calming the aggravated vata that underlies most chronic knee pain and stiffness.

This treatment is particularly indicated for those experiencing joint degeneration, post-injury stiffness, runner's knee, osteoarthritis, or the creaking, crackling quality that comes with age and dryness in the joints. It is equally valuable as a preventive measure for active people — hikers, dancers, athletes — who place sustained demand on their knees.

Ayurvedic Face Treatment Clinic

Mukha Abhyanga Clinic Ayurvedic Face Treatment For the sun-exposed, the wind-touched, the ones whose skin has been living outside all summer. Mukha abhyanga is the classical Ayurvedic facial — not an extraction, not a peel. Warm medicated oil is worked into the face, jaw, and neck through marma-informed touch, preceded by a gentle herbal exfoliation to clear what summer has deposited on the skin. The session closes with sandalwood and rose at the marma points of the face and crown — cooling, clarifying, complete. Skin that is deeply fed rather than stripped. 45-minute appointments · pulse + herbal exfoliation + mukha abhyanga + marma + sandalwood close · $108

Sinus Clinic

Sinus Clinic

For the dry, the congested, the seasonally shifting. As the fog breaks and the air changes — drier, warmer, more moving — the head and sinuses ask for attention. Nasya is the classical Ayurvedic treatment in which medicated oil is delivered through the nasal passages, clearing the channels of the head, supporting immunity as the season turns, and steadying the mind through transition. On the Mendocino Coast, September marks the real seasonal hinge — and nasya meets it directly.

You'll leave with a small bottle of nasya oil to continue the practice at home.

60-minute appointments · pulse reading + preparatory treatment + nasya + take-home oil · $125

Kati Basti- Ayurvedic Spine Clinic

Kati Basti Clinic Warm Oil Therapy for the Low Back For the ones who've been on their feet all summer, whose low back has been asking for attention since August. Kati basti is the classical Ayurvedic treatment in which warm medicated oil is held inside a dough dam built over the lumbar spine — drawing out held tension, nourishing the discs and surrounding tissue, and grounding vata as the season turns. The antidote to a summer of doing.

The Ayurvedic Spring Cleanse
kicks off April 1!

This course uses the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda to gently cleanse the whole body to set the stage for your ideal weight and optimal health. The entire program is infused with Body Positive self love and self-nurturance.

As the weather warms, Kapha (earth + water) accumulates—bringing heaviness, foggy digestion, congestion, water retention, and that “stuck” feeling.
